S0 Western Sahara rover **Update**

2026-01-23

Update 25 Jan 2026:  The operation will commence on 3 Feb 2026 and is expected to last 8 to 9 days.

The grid locators to be activated, from north to south, are: IL35, IL34, IL33, IL32, IL31, IL21, IL11, and IL10.

As the operation will take place in a conflict zone and, due to security concerns, the planned grid order may not be strictly followed. Any changes will be announced during each on-air activation.

Some activations may occur while traveling south, and others during the return journey north.

The duration of each grid activation cannot be determined in advance due to weather conditions (strong Sirocco winds) and safety considerations.

All QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW free of charge.

QSL confirmations will be available exclusively via ClubLog for those who request them.

Donations are welcome and may be made via PayPal to: ongsario@gmail.com

The operation will be conducted by two operators: Azman (Man) and an additional operator.

They will work on SSB mainly, and, if is possible, also on FT4/FT8

Operations on other satellites are planned for the near future, and the required equipment is currently being prepared.
