Update 06 Ago 2025 @14.45z: "Team member, Lutz DL5KUA via Mark, DK8MM, informs that the GM4S crew are currently delayed (in Aberdeen, Scotland). First of all, the start of their ferry connection from Amsterdam to Newcastle was delayed due a medical emergency (chief engineer fell ill). As a result they missed the ferry from Aberdeen to Shetland by just 10 minutes! The next chance to depart is now on Wednesday evening meaning they finally arrive Shetland’s on Thursday evening. GM4S will then hit airwaves. QRX."

Update 03 Ago 2025 @21.00z: Due ferry related issues, the operation is delayed, now schedulled to start after 06 Aug 2025.

Update 29 Jul 2025 @10.00z: "The preparation of Shetland Tour 2025 is ongoing and the grids IP90 and IO99 will be activated between 5 - 13 Aug 2025 via QO-100.

Due to accommodation and transportation issues to Foula Island (IP80), the activation of this grid will be postponed to 2026".

Lutz, DL5KUA (QO-100 Dx Club #634) and Stefan, OE8TIR (QO-100 Dx Club #28) will be QRV from the Shetland Is. (Scotland) as MM/DL5KUA and MM/OE8TIR between 4 - 14 Aug 2025.

They plan to operate from IP90hl and IO99iu (Mainland Is.) as well as IP80xd (Foula Isl.) using CW and SSB modes.

The operation from Foula Isl. will be concentrated on one, maximum two days.
