XU Cambodia **Update #2**

2025-03-05

Update 13 Mar 2025 @12.30z: As per the published schedule, today Paulo F5VMJ and Mikio JA3GEP did several lectures and some scheduled QSO.

Afterwards Paulo did around 100 random QSO, but he had to stop due deep QSB (S9 to S0) and high local noise.

He will try to be again QRV later (depending on availability and QSB).

Update 12 Mar 2025: Paulo F5VMJ and Mikio JA3GEP arrived safely today at Phnom Penh airport. They were welcomed by several NPIC students. See pics below.

The amateur radio club station XU7AMO at the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC) will be QRV via QO-100 during it's radio communication training at Telecom Department of Electronics Faculty, Phnom Penh.

To make it possible, TRC (Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia) exceptionally permitted using satellite and higher frequency.

During training session, the club members will set up and operate QO-100 groundstation. To demonstrate NPIC’s activity and promote Cambodia, they will try to QRV intensively on between 14- 16 Mar 2025.

Please refer to CAMRG page for latest QRV and QSL Information.

As this is a training session, please understand that they can not respond to pileups and scheduling request on the frequency. Only reply to their CQ or QRZ.

This project was made possible by NPIC Management, understanding of MPTC and TRC Authorities, and technical support from Paulo F5VMJ and Mikio JA3GEP.
