World Amateur Radio Day **Updated**

On the 18 April every year the radioamateur community world wide celebrates the World Amateur Radio Day.

The date was chosen because it marks the day IARU - International Amateur Radio Union was founded (18 Apr 1925), precisely 100 years ago.

During this month many SES (Special Event Stations) are on the air using 100IARU sufix commemorating the event.
