QO-100 Dx club **Update #4**

2024-11-25

Update 16 Dec 2024 18.00z: We are nearly there: 985K QSO today. Two more weeks to reach a Million QSO. We believe it's possible!
As we mentioned before, some logs received are quite old and occasionaly validation rules have changed because of them.
Please check you Issues page. If something does not look ok, please let us know and we will double check. Thank you!

Update 11 Dec 2024 21.00z: There are now over 978k QSO on the database! WOW. Thank you for your amazing response.
Many "cold cases" (callsigns with uncertain grids) are now solved. The number of callsigns with pending validation is close to 250!
Thank you for your continous support.

Update 7 Dec 2024 13.00z: We just passed 965k QSO! Big thank you to all who have uploaded/updated the log.
Note some recent logs uploaded include old QSO (2019/2020). That made us revisited some callsigns and in some cases there were changes in the validation rules.
Please check you Issues page to see if there is any change on your QSO status and proceed accordingly.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Update 30 Nov 2024 17.00z: Currently the number of QSO on the database is 956k!
Thank you to the new and existing members who uploaded their logs to the club database over the last days.
Please check your radioamateur friends, if they are members of the club, and if their log is updated!
We have one month to reach 1M QSO!

Dear Club Members

As today (25 Nov 2024) there are 945k QSO on the database. Wouldn't be fantastic if we pass the 1 million QSO mark by the end of this year? Well, that only depends on you ;o)

Why this is so important? Because the more logs are uploaded to the database, the more accurate the QSO data we will have.
In case you don't know yet, it's based on this information that we generate our tables, rankings, awards, maps, most wanted list, etc.
To understand the dimension of the improvement caused by the database let's look at the number of grid squares: before validation - 2330; after validation - 1343 Pretty impressive, isn't it?
However, despite our efforts, there are still more than 300 callsigns pending validation, hence why we are requesting your help.
Therefore, if you:
  • update your log regularly, please keep updating it.
  • haven't update your log in a long time, now is the perfect occasion.
  • never have upload your log, this is the right moment. If your logging software is not compatible, check SQ8W ADIF tool. That probably solves your problem. If not, please let us know and we will do out best to help you.
So, what are you waiting? Please upload your log today.
Thank you for your cooperation.
