Update 26 Nov 2024: There is no amateur radio activity planned until the stop in Walvis Bay (21-24 Dec 2024) when Andy DL3LRM will board the ship.

The Research Vessel Polarstern, DP0POL/MM  (QO-100 Dx Club #441) has left the Bremerhaven (DL) port today (24 Nov 2024), a few minutes before 20.00 UTC.

This trip destination is the Weddell Sea where is expected to arrive early 2025, with scheduled stops in Las Palmas (EA8) and Walvis Bay (V5).

If this expedition is similar to the past years, we can expect more activity via QO-100 from very remote locations. Fingers crossed.
