REP QO-100 Award

It is an international award organized by REP with the aim of promoting, disseminating and encouraging experimental activities and radio contacts through the geostationary satellite QO-100.

 

RULES

The objective of the award is to contact the largest possible number of stations and DXCC entities through the geostationary satellite QO-100, for an entire year.

 

DATES AND DURATION

The award starts at 00:01 UTC on February 1, 2021 and ends at 23:59 on January 31, 2022.

 

PARTICIPANTS

The award is open to all radio amateurs operating in geographic locations under the coverage of the geostationary satellite QO-100.

 

BAND AND ISSUING MODES

Valid contacts for assignment can be made through all the emission modes allowed for radio amateur traffic with QO-100, and in accordance with the respective Band Plan.

Digital modes are included in narrowband modes, as well as D-ATV in the broadband transponder.

 

RS(T) REPORTS

During QSO, only the exchange of RS(T) and QTH locator reports is mandatory.

 

QSO SCORE

➢ Each QSO between different stations is awarded 1 point. Each station can be contacted at most three times during the year, once for each of the emission modes (CW, SSB and DIGITAL), thus obtaining 3 points;

➢ Each QSO with the CS5SS station counts 10 points; this station can also be contacted at most three times during the year, once for each of the three emission modes (CW, SSB and DIGITAL), thus accumulating 30 points;

 

MULTIPLICATORS

Each DXCC entity counts as a multiplier.

 

TOTAL SCORE

The total score is obtained as the product between the sum of the overall QSO scores and the number of all multipliers.

 

QSO VALIDATION

The claimed contacts will be validated by the REP Contests Awards Committee.

For registration it is necessary to use the specific Excel sheet, which will be made available for download on the website www.rep.pt.

Within February 15, 2022, each participant must send the Excel log, complete in each part, to qo100_award@rep.pt.

The Diploma ranking will be released in March.

 

PREMIUM PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES

The Certificate in PDF format will be sent by email to the top 10 participants with the highest score.

A special Certificate in PDF format will be sent to the first three scored participants.

All certificates will be free.
